MyNew Orleans Photo Project is designed to provide an opportunity for people affected by homelessness to share their perspectives through photography. The MyNew Orleans 2018 Calendar features 14 photos printed on high gloss paper, captured by MyNew Orleans Photo Project participants. Each photo is accompanied by its creator's personal story. The money raised from calendar sales goes back into the project, to pay for the printing of the photographs and calendar, putting on the gallery exhibitions, and prizes for the winning photographers.
What is this project all about?
• To empower people affected by homelessness to have their voices heard, not only through photography but through connecting with the public through the Project.
• To tell the stories of individuals who are affected by homelessness.
• To raise awareness in the general public about the issues surrounding homelessness from the participants' personal perspectives.
